For Chiropractors Nationwide

Add a new revenue line your competitors don’t understand.

Occupational health and DOT compliance add a recurring, contract-based revenue line to your practice — steady income from local employers on top of the patients you already treat. Ternus Consulting shows you exactly how to build that program inside your existing practice, step by step, from someone who has done it for more than two decades.

  • 25+Years in practice & compliance
  • 1999Licensed DC since
  • B2BRecurring contract revenue

Built on real-world experience serving employers with safety-sensitive employees, independent commercial drivers, excavators, national carriers, self-employed operators, and more across the United States.

The Opportunity

Patient visits end. Employer contracts renew.

Insurance patients rarely pay what you bill — usual-and-customary reductions and write-offs chip away at every claim, and cash visits are unpredictable. Employers with safety-sensitive staff have a legal, ongoing need for compliance services, and they pay your fee in full, on a schedule. Occupational health puts your practice on the other side of that transaction.

01

Recurring, not episodic

DOT physicals, drug and alcohol screening, random-testing consortiums, and file maintenance renew on a cycle. You build a book of business, not a waiting room.

02

Low competition, high need

Few chiropractors know this market exists. Every commercial fleet, union shop, and self-employed CDL holder needs a compliant provider — and struggles to find one nearby.

03

Uses what you already have

Your license, your office, your staff. Occupational health layers onto the practice you already run — no second location, no new degree.

And none of the insurance grind you fight every day:

  • Insurance billing & claims
  • Prior authorizations
  • Managed care contracts
  • Usual-and-customary reductions
  • Claim denials & appeals
  • Usual-and-customary write-offs
  • Chasing slow reimbursement
  • Insurer-dictated fee schedules
  • Credentialing & coding headaches

You charge your fee, and you’re paid it — in full, on a schedule.

The Curriculum

Everything you need to launch, priced, and compliant.

Eight modules, taught live by Dr. Ternus — the same path the course follows, so you finish with a working occupational-health service line and the paperwork to run it right.

Dr. Jesse Ternus, DC

Doctor of Chiropractic · Occupational Health & DOT Compliance Owner-Operator

Dr. Jesse Ternus has practiced chiropractic in Minnesota since 1999, and he didn’t just study occupational health — he built a business around it. For more than sixteen years he has operated as a preferred collection facility serving employers with safety-sensitive employees, independent commercial drivers, excavators, national carriers, and self-employed operators.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Minnesota–Duluth and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern College of Chiropractic. His compliance credentials include Certified Drug Screening Professional (CDSP) and Certified Alcohol Screening Professional (CASP) since 2005, along with BAT and STT collection certifications and First Responder training.

Ternus Consulting exists because Dr. Ternus knows most chiropractors are sitting on an untapped revenue line and don’t know where to start. This program is the roadmap he wishes he’d had — the certifications, the setup, the pricing, and the employer relationships, taught by someone who runs it every day.

  • Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic since 1999
  • CDSP & CASP certified since 2005
  • BAT, STT & CME collection credentials
  • 16+ years operating a DOT compliance facility

Questions

What chiropractors ask first.

Do I need a second location or new license?

No. Occupational health layers onto your existing chiropractic practice using your current license, office, and staff. The program focuses on adding the service line, not starting over.

What certifications will I need?

The program walks you through each one — drug screening (CDSP), alcohol screening (CASP/BAT), and specimen collection (STT) — in the right order, with guidance on where and how to obtain them.

Does this work outside my state?

Yes. The compliance framework is federal (DOT/FMCSA), so the core model applies to chiropractors anywhere in the United States. Dr. Ternus covers the state-specific details where they matter as part of your consultation.

How long does it take to launch?

That depends on how quickly you complete certifications, but the curriculum is built so you can begin setting up your collection site and pursuing your first accounts as you progress — not months after finishing.

Who is this not for?

If you’re not willing to pursue the required certifications or serve local employers, this isn’t the right fit. It rewards practices ready to build a real, compliant service line.
